You have the option of purchasing a two or three bike spare tire rack for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler.

I recommend a hanging rack like the Hollywood Racks SR2 2-Bike Carrier, part # HRSR2, provides an economical solution for your bike hauling needs. It features a built in rack lock and fits most lug patterns and tires up to 12-1/2" wide like your 12.4" tire.

The Hollywood Racks SR2 will require the use of an adapter bar like Hollywood Rack's Adapter Bar, part # HRBA-PRO, to accommodate child, women or "aggressive" (BMX or thick framed mountain) style bikes.

I also strongly recommend a separate cable locking mechanism for most hanging racks like the 10' Long Cable Lock, part # e98891, to secure the bikes to each other and the spare wheel itself.

I've included review videos for the Hollywood Racks SR2 so you can see it in action.

Questions regarding the Hollywood SR2 - 1) How many inches does this add to the 2016 Jeep JKU when in the stored position? 2) How difficult is it to remove from the vehicle? 3) Will the spare tire lugs be long enough to accommodate the SR2 bracket and the Brandmotion Backup Camera bracket that I have installed on my Jeep?

When it's in the stored position the Hollywood Racks # HRSR2 will only add a few inches out from the spare tire on your Jeep. The rack itself is really easy to remove. It's just a matter of taking out a single center bolt from the carrier. The mounting bracket is secured behind the tire - so if you wanted to also remove that (which wouldn't be necessary) you'd have to remove the spare as well. I'm not positive if the lugs will be long enough both for the carrier and your existing backup camera - it's designed to fit with the stock spare tire, so it isn't tested for use with an aftermarket camera added to the setup.
