Question:

Thanks for your service on my question I have another question my step opening is 27 inches and the steps you refer me to is 28 inches does that mean I have to take the whole box out?

The RV steps that we have closest to your measurements are the Alumi-Tread Manual Pull-Out Step for RVs part # LC432698. These steps have a mounting bracket dimension of 28" wide x 9-1/2" deep and can support up to 300 lbs. of weight. I have included a review video and picture with the above dimensions listed for you.

This will depend on how you are measuring the mounting brackets. The correct way to measure your mounting brackets for replacement steps is from the center of each bolt hole. If the center to center bolt hole measurement is 26-3/4" and the outside of the mounting brackets from end to end is 27", then no, you will not have to remove the mounting brackets. If the measurement is not 26-3/4" and 27" respectively, then you will need to make new mounting locations in your RV in order for these steps to work.
