Sears will attach the hitch if it bolts on. I am considering Curt c1137 or Draw tite 24914. Do they need any trimming of the bumper

The Draw Tite hitch part # 24914 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback. It does not require any drilling or fascia/bumper modification either.
The Curt hitch part # C11377 does require some fascia trimming though.
