Receive the part and a small 2 1/4 metal piece was wire tied to the crank ,, what is that for?

That little metal piece included with replacement handle 87639 is the brake release handle. When using the manual crank handle on a Husky Brute jack you will need to insert that brake release handle near the bottom of the motor and pull forward to release the brake.
