The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 22292 (3036-P) is the correct adapter to install a Tekonsha brake controller on your 2014 Ford F-150. In many cases, the wire locations on the vehicle connector will not be the same as the wire locations on the brake controller adapter. Therefore, the colors may or may not be the same color on each end of the connector.
At the 3:20 mark in the attached video, you will see the correct plug that the wiring harness adapter will need to be connected to. This is a large grey plug located underneath the vehicle's dash near the OBDII plug. In some cases, the connector is located behind the driver's side dash panel. You will also want to make sure the fuse and relays are installed in the corresponding location on your vehicle's fuse box.
I have attached a installation video of the harness on a 2013 Ford F-150 for you.
