Location of Factory Trailer Brake Controller Port on a 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:
The two plug brake control adapter I ordered 2004 F250 SD Tekonsha P-3 does not seem to be the correct one. I have a flat 4pin inline connector mounted just under the dash just forward of the accelerator pedal not behind fuse panel cover that looks like it may have been pre-wired for brake controller. The square connector on the 3035-P that I received will not fit. Am I looking at the wrong connector or is there another one available for my truck?

To access the correct port to insert # 3035-P, you may need to remove the dash panel on the driver side under the steering column. The connector you need will be on the far right, near the center console area. I have included a link to the instructions for reference and a link to a video showing installation on a similar truck. The video will give you the best idea of where to look for the connector and what it looks like so you will know it when you see it on your truck.
