To install Curt Trailer hitch, # 11306, on a 2009 Chevy Aveo5, you will not need to remove the tow hook that is permanently attached to the vehicle. The hitch needs the tow hook as one of the mounting points. You will place a carriage bolt and rectangular spacer through the top of the tow hook loop and secure it with the nut. In the instructions, linked for reference, there is a picture that shows the tow hook detached from the vehicle, but this is just for clarity. The tow hook is not actually removed during an actual installation.
