Power Wire Routing Options When Installing a Wiring Harness # 118482 on a 2009 Lincoln MKS

Question:
I cant seem to find a way to get the power wire from the trunk to the engine compartment on my MKS. I could wire tie to the parking break line, but that stops under the driver seat. I can run it through under the carpet as well, but the firewall is sealed and no obvious way to get through into the engine compartment and no groumets to use.

There should be other places you could attach the wire from the Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118482, underneath your 2009 Lincoln MKS besides the parking brake line. A lot of guys will run the wires through the frame rails or zip-tie the wire to areas that are free from suspension components or hot exhaust parts.
If you wanted to find a way to run the wire through your firewall sometimes the holes in the firewall can be difficult to find. A lot of times in the firewall there are holes that are covered up with rubber grommets. What you can do is cut slits in them to run the wires through them if you do find one.
I attached a video below that shows a similar tail light kit being installed into a Lincoln Continental that has a section on routing the power wire to the front of the car on the under side of the vehicle.
Typically we recommend a T-One Connector w/Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite, part # 118471, for the 2009 Lincoln MKS. I included installation instructions for this product below also.
