Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2002 Pontiac Aztek

Question:

Is this hitch compatible with the 2002 Pontiac Aztek. It came up on the search and all comments appear to be related to the Buick Rendezvous, which is a sister vehicle. Can you assure me this will work on my Aztek? Im buying this as a replacement to a hitch which rusted out.

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75430 is indeed a fit for your 2002 Pontiac Aztek. I have included a link to the instructions and at the top you will see the vehicle fits for this hitch. I also included an image of that part of the instructions.

The video I have linked is on a Buick Rendezvous but the installation will be nearly identical on your Aztek.

Since you mentioned that you are replacing a hitch you may already have towing accessories. But if needed I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, interchangeable hitch ball set, a hitch pin and clip, and a storage bag. If the ball mount does not have the proper rise or drop to tow the trailer level then you can use the included link that shows how to measure for the right rise or drop.

And if you do not already have a trailer wiring harness you can add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle using # 118383.
