For your 2014 VW Golf 5 door, the Traverse foot pack and the square load bars have been discontinued by Thule. I recommend the newer style rack consisting of the Thule SquareBar # TH712100, Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4 # TH710501, and fit kit # TH145009.
This will give you the complete roof rack confirmed to fit your vehicle.
