trying to decide betwen Thule T2 pro and rocky mount split rail. Which will give more room to open tailgate on my silverado pickup?

The RockyMounts Split Rail part # RKY11404 has a larger distance between the hitch pin of the rack and the nearest wheel rail at 10-1/4 inches when compared to the Thule T2 part # TH83JV which has this distance at 7 inches. If that dimension is the most important factor for you the RockyMounts will be the better rack. The SplitRail is also a bit lighter at 44 lbs compared to the Thule which is 52.
