Question:
I bought an 18 K signature series 5th wheel hitch in 08. Left the rails on my 08 truck and now we have a 2011 GMC 2500 HD, 6.6 box. Do I or do I not need a 58419 kit if I install new rails on the 2011 truck? We still have the same hitch, but need new rails.

To install your 18K Signature Series 5th Wheel Hitch in your 2011 GMC 2500 HD 6.6 bed, all you will need is Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP30868.
The item you referenced, Reese Signature Series Hitch Adapter, part # RP58419, is not needed for your 2011 GMC Truck. Part # RP58419 is only needed if installing in the new 2011 Ford Super Duty as Ford changed the design of the bed for 2011.
If you have a factory brake controller on your 2011 GMC 2500 HD, you will need Factory Brake Controller Relocation Bracket Kit, part # 58318, to install your fifth-wheel hitch.
In addition to part # RP30868, you may also be interested in Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness, part # 50-97-410, which will give you a 7-way connector in the bed of your GMC and retain your factory 7-way at the rear. If you do not have a factory 7-way, you will need Pollak Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # PK11916.
I have linked instructions for the Reese Signature Series Hitch Adapter, part # RP30868. I have also linked a video installation of fifth-wheel hitch on a 2009 GMC Sierra that you may find as a useful reference.

I have a Signature Series fifth wheel Hitch I am trying to install in my 2011 GMC Denali Pick up truck. Is it possible to install this hitch with slides, as it is a short bed truck.
