Question:
The truck is a 2010 1500 SLT, it has the smaller V8 in it. I am looking at purchasing a 7700 lb travel trailer. What do you recommend I use for a weight distribution hitch? I am having a hard time finding the tongue weight of the trailer. It is a 2005 Trail Cruiser 30ft. travel trailer.

Based on the total weight of your travel trailer of 7700 lbs I would recommend that you use Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - Round Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW, part # RP66087. I attached installation instructions below for you to check out.
When picking a weight distribution system you want to go with a system that encompasses the weight of your trailer, that is why I recommended the # RP66087 with a 10,000 lbs total weight limit for your 7700 lb travel trailer. I attached a link to a weight distribution FAQ page for you to check out also.
We have a Tongue Weight Scale, part # e99044, that would allow you to determine what the tongue weight of your 2005 Tail Cruiser 30 ft trailer is. I attached a link to a review video of this product below for you to check out also.
I also attached a link to an FAQ page that details how you could determine your tongue weight with a bathroom scale, a couple pipes, a brick, and a board.
