When installing a shock kit, like the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit # LC281255, on tandem trailer axles, you will mount the front shock and the rear shock facing the same direction pointing toward the rear of the trailer.
The shock should mount at the Axle U-bolts on an included bracket and then mount on an upper bracket pointing to the rear of the trailer at a 45 degree angle. Please reference the included picture.
The rear shocks will be mounted the same way. If you are only going to install on set of shocks, then you will need to install them on the front leading axle.
