Question:
I traded a 2009 Dodge 3500 dually with overload springs for a 2010 Dodge 2500 without overload springs. The hitch is a 16K Reese and the previous installer used the 58186 brackets and 30035 install kit. Can these be put on the 2010 if I replace ALL the hardware?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can use the # RP58186 brackets and the # RP30035, universal installation kit to install your Reese 16k fifth-wheel hitch in your 2010 Dodge 2500 without overload springs.
If you need hardware to install these kits you will need the Replacement Hardware Kit # 58164, and the parts bag for the 58186 brackets, item # 110452.
The new truck, not having overload springs, could also use the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit, item # RP50140, which requires much less drilling and therefore easier installation. You would need the above bed rail installation hardware, item # RP58430, to install the rails to the custom below bed bracket kit.
