What tuner do you recommend for a GMC Yukon XL 2012 1500. I would like to increase HP and torque for towing as well as efficiency. Do I need certain operating systems on computer and does the stock program get backed up to computer?

I have two different recommendations for you that will increase the horsepower, torque, and fuel economy for your 2012 GMC Yukon XL 1500. It all just depends on what type of engine that you have.
The Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner # SU2845 is my first recommendation. It will work with the 5.3L V8 Engine, the 6.0L V8 Engine, and the 6.2L V8 Engine. This programmer will help you to increase all of the settings on your Yukon XL and has the option to save the factory settings during the initial installation and setup process.
The other recommendation that I have is the Edge Gas Evolution CTS2 # EP85450 which is only compatible with the 5.3L V8 Engine. The reason that I recommend this one is because it comes with a monitor that can be mounted on your window. The great thing about the added monitor is that you can use a backup camera, part # EP98201, or an EGT Sensor, part # EP98611, as well. It can enhance you horsepower, torque, and fuel economy, and is very customizable and easy to use.
Please note that neither of these performance modules are legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in the state of California.
