Question:

Greetings. I see several options for my truck. I have a 2006 GMC Yukon XL 2500 6.0 liter police package. My cats are on their way out and I want the best option for my truck. I see this one is said to be a fit, but am checking to see if its the best fit and best option. ALSO: I have upstream and downstream sensors in the pipes before and after the Cats... is there a HM option that leaves me with these o2 sensor positions and doesnt force me to change or alter my existing sensor position. It appears many of your cats have bungs for o2 sensors. In summary: 1. Best cat with a bung will this position change confuse my computer? 2. Best cat without a bung. leaving my sensors in the current position Looking for the best options that will not confuse my computer and will be the best performance and service life. Thanks guys!

You will want to look at the direct fit catalytic converter options for your 2006 GMC Yukon XL 2500 6.0. Direct fit will use the factory hangers and will match up to the rest of the exhaust better than universal fit items.

Stainless steel and ceramic construction are the highest quality. For your vehicle those include # MF49667, # MF49668, # MF49643, and # MF49642. All of these options do have sensor ports before and after the cats. The positions might not be exactly the same as the stock ones but that should not cause a problem with the computer.

If you go with the universal mount, # MF99009HM, it would fit in place of the existing ones but you may or may not need additional pipe for it to fit the best. But the O2 ports would stay in the same places as stock.
