Recommended Side Frame Mount Replacement Bulldog Trailer Jack

Question:
Hello, I have a 1988 Bulldog Model 160, 750 pd capacity side crank trailer jack. The shear pin broke and the handle came out. I was able to drive the shear pin out easily and I see you have replacements but the unit appears sealed. Is there something Im missing or are these units throwaways if you break the pin? Appreciate any help you can give me with this. .

I spoke with my contact at Bulldog and it looks like the 1988 Bulldog Model 160 Trailer Jack you have is welded shut, so you would need to cut into it to reach anything that needs to be fixed. If it is just the pin to the handle that broke, it may be able to be fixed, but I recommend contacting Bulldog directly to see if they have any replacement pins available.
If you find that you need to get a complete replacement, I recommend the Bulldog Rack-and-Gear Jack w/ Polly Wheel # BD169201. This is a similar 750 pound capacity side frame mount jack to the model you have and can fit up to a 3 x 5 inch trailer tongue. This includes the mounting kit and poly caster base. The jack has a 8 inch retracted height and measures 20-1/3 inches from the mounting bracket to the top of the jack when retracted.
I have attached a video review of this jack as well as a link that will take you to our available selection of side frame mount trailer jacks for you to look at.
