Question:

I lost the key for my cargo box and had to drill out the lock. To replace the lock, do I need to order a new cylinder and a key? Is the blank key necessary to install the lock? Im not sure what the model number of the box is and if the cylinder and key Im ordering is correct.

Since you drilled the lock out you will need a new lock cylinder and key.

I recommend a lock cylinder like part # THLOCKN077, and then you will need the key so you can order part # THKEYN077. Since the keys are sold individually you may want to order an extra to keep in a safe place just in case.

The universal key is not needed since you drilled out the lock on your cargo box.
