Question:

rack cross bars for 2012 ford edge and basket that fits rails Looking for above 2 items for my sons car to hold camping gear...he has a flexible storage bag but needs cross bars added to his factory raised side rails so he can also attach basket... does the exposed rack # ER63XR work and what basket would best fit this or another cross bar like Inno?

Yes - the Exposed Racks # ER63XR fit your 2012 Ford Edge with factory raised rails. For a cargo basket that will fit this roof rack you can use the Curt basket # C18115. It is 41-1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide. It includes the front fairing to help reduce wind noise and resistance. It is important to note that you must have the basket at a bar spread of 15", 22", or 29" apart on center. I have linked a video review of the basket for you.

An accessory that I usually recommend is a tire step # ALL647596. Using a tire step is much safer than standing on the floor of the vehicle in an open doorway! It fits tires up to 13" wide.
