A brake controller does not have to be tied into the computer on your 2007 International 4200. A brake controller such as # 90885 requires 12 volt power in to power the controller, a ground which is usually attached to the negative battery terminal, an output wire (blue) goes to the trailer connector, and a connection to the cold side of the brake switch to tell the controller when you are stepping on the brake pedal.
If your truck has air brakes then it is possible that there isn't a brake switch wire that you can tap into. In that scenario you could use any dedicated brake light only circuit such as a CHMSL or stop light fuse.
You will also need a 30 amp circuit breaker that will be installed in line with the power wire to the controller. The controller black wire will connect to the positive battery terminal via the circuit breaker. For additional wire and circuit breakers you can use wiring kit # 5506.
I have included some links that will help with the installation. Not all of it applies to your situation so just follow the relevant parts.
