With a 6,000 pound camper trailer you're not likely going to need a weight distribution system rated for 1,000 pounds of tongue weight. Tonge weight is generally about 10-15 percent of the trailer, so unless you're at the high end of that range by fully loading your trailer and putting a lot of that weight on the tongue you'll want a lower rated system. Using a system that is rated too high will cause your ride to be rough and rigid.

The best way to determine your exact tongue weight is to use a tongue weight scale, like part # e99044. You will also need to add in the amount of weight that is stored in the back of your Blazer behind the rear axle. I've attached an article on determining tongue weight.

For a system that allows backing up, includes sway control and an adjustable shank I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex. If your tongue weight is on the low side you can go with the 600 pound system, # RP66558. If you do load your trailer up and need the 1,000 pound system then you'll want # RP66559. The Steadi-Flex system uses automotive like friction pads to correct trailer sway and straight your trailer.

Use # 63845 for a 2 inch hitch ball or # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
