Do Bed Rail Covers on 2013 Chevy Silverado have to be Removed to Install Extang Tonneau Cover

I have 2013 chevy Silverodo with 6and half foot box and spray on liner, shop said id need to remove bedrail protectors to install extang trifecta but they didnt in video/ do you have to

According to Extang for Tonneau cover # EX94650 for your 2013 Chevy Silverado with 6-1/2 foot bed:

"If your truck has a bed cap that covers the metal bed wall flange, you will need to remove enough of the cap so that the clamps make solid contact."

So in other words the caps do not have to come completely off. And you may not even have to trim them. I have included a link to the installation instructions for more information.
