Question:
My daughter just purchased a new 2016 chevy traverse. It has the trailer package with the hitch and plug. She just also bought a house trailer with electric brakes. Does this plug control the brakes as well as the lights or does she have to install some additional equipment to have the brakes work? Thanks for the help

Your daughter needs a brake controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 with the wiring adapter # 3026-P. The P2 is a top choice because of how easy it is to install and use. Since she already has the tow package the P2 just has to be mounted and plugged in under her dash. I've included an installation video of it being installed on a 2015 Chevy Tahoe which will be the same process on her Traverse.
