All of the hitches we carry, Class II and Class III, for the 2005 Buick Rendezvous (see link) state that they will fit the 2 wheel drive and the all wheel drive models. The tongue weight varies only between the Class II and Class III models, with the Class II models showing 300 pounds tongue weight capacity and the Class III models showing 350 pounds tongue weight capacity.
The hitch can be installed on your front wheel drive vehicle and will not affect the rear suspension as long as you stay within the towing limits of the lowest rated component, whether it is the vehicle rating or the rating of the hitch. You can usually find the vehicle tow rating in your owners manual or by contacting the dealer in your area.
If I were installing a hitch on this vehicle I would go with the Class III model Draw-Tite # 75430 Trailer Hitch, , that you mentioned because it will accept many more accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers than a Class II hitch will.
To complete your Class III towing setup on your 2005 Buick Rendezvous you may need the following items.
Wiring # 118383, With Tow Package # 41405
Drawbar # 2753
Hitch Ball # 19260 or # 19247
