The outside width of combo bar # 80948 is slightly less than 2-1/2 inches so it would fit in a 2-1/2 inch receiver. But this bar is meant for hitch fabrication and not meant as a hitch extender. For a 34 inch extender that is rated for use as an actual extender and that already has the safety chain loops welded to it you could use # RP45292. Of course, there is quite a bit of difference in cost.
