Without knowing exactly what trailer hitch you have on your 2004 Chevrolet Impala I don't know if it will work on your 2011. However, two out of the three trailer hitches we carry for the 2004 Impala are also compatible with the 2011 Impala, the Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch # 36407 and the Curt Class II Receiver Hitch # C12252. If your hitch is not one of these then it may not fit and you would want to purchase one of the hitches above. Between the two hitches I would suggest the Draw-Tite because the Curt requires stabilizing straps for non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers.
I've attached some videos showing the installation of hitches onto both your Impalas.
