Availability of Steering Stabilizer Kit for 2003 Class A Motorhome on Workhorse Chassis

Published 07/06/2016

Question:

I was looking at the steering stabilizer RM-RSSB for my 2003 class A motorhome on a workhorse frame but see no attaching brackets. Is there a kit for this installation?

Helpful Expert Reply:

The correct mounting kit and steering stabilizer will depend on which model workhorse chassis you have, a P, R or W-series.

The # RM-RSSB is compatible with the P-series model that's not equipped with an OEM steering damper. The stabilizer and the mounting hardware are sold as a kit, part # RM-RBK3-RSSP30.
If there is an OEM steering damper, you'd use a different stabilizer part # RM-RSSCP30 with the # RM-RBK3 brackets.

For an R-series, you'd use # RM-RBK13-RSSA stabilizer/bracket kit which is NOT compatible with models equipped with independent front suspensions.

For a W-series, use the # RM-RBK13-RSSA, which includes the brackets, hardware and the stabilizer.
