Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bars - RM-RBK13-RSSA

  • Steering Stabilizer
  • Roadmaster
  • Includes Mounting Hardware

The sturdy steel spring on this stabilizer keeps your vehicle in line by constantly working to maintain its position. Mount it between the steering mechanism and the chassis for a tight connection that will minimize wander and correct oversteering.

Features:

  • Compensates for oversteering and returns your vehicle to center
    • Tempered steel spring works to return to its normal state - when compressed, spring pushes back into neutral position; when extended, it pulls back
  • Attaches to the steering mechanism on one end and to the chassis undercarriage on the other
    • Tight connection between these components keeps steering firm and controlled
  • Helps you to maintain control of your vehicle in the event of crosswinds, rut tracking, road edging or a tire blowout
  • Reduces road fatigue - stabilizer keeps you centered so that you don't have to work as hard to steer
  • Installs in approximately 1 hour with no drilling or welding
  • Includes stabilizer, custom mounting brackets, hardware and installation instructions
  • Made in USA
  • Limited lifetime warranty

A variety of things can make your vehicle veer - crosswinds, uneven pavement, tire blowout. The key to a pleasant, and safe, driving experience is learning how to deal with these situations. Roadmaster's Reflex Steering Stabilizer works to return your vehicle to center when something happens that causes it to swerve or jolt. As a result, you won't have to oversteer in an attempt to stay in line, thus minimizing road fatigue.

The stabilizer attaches to your vehicle's tie rod on one end and to the frame on the other. A heavy-duty steel spring runs the length of the rod, constantly working to keep steering controlled. If you steer your vehicle one way and it gets pulled the opposite way, the spring will stretch momentarily and then quickly pull back to its normal state. If you oversteer your vehicle in the same direction it is already moving, the spring will compress for a moment but then push back out to its prior state. No matter how you steer or how the frame is pushed or pulled, your vehicle will always return to center.

Nick S was GREAT help. He helped me with the right stabilizer for my motor home and had it shipped the very same day. Stabilizer was installed with very little effort and it is making quite a difference in my ability to steer the motor home. I will definitely recommend etrailer to my friends.

I was able to assemble the Reflex Steering Stabilizer by driving up onto 2 X 12 boards, and using my creeper, and an impact gun
. It took about an hour to assemble.

The Reflex steering stabilizer makes driving a pleasure. I have driven 7,000 miles since I installed it on my W24 chassis. I did have to reposition it and tighten hardware, after I noticed it had rotated on the tie rod. A great product at a fair price.

by:

Awesome product, took about an hour to install which included test drive and minor adjustments. Wish I would have bought this years ago well worth the money, rear sway bars will be next !!!

What a pleasure doing business with yall. Tammie went way above and beyond her pay scale to assist me. Products arrived sooner than i expected. Installation of the Roadmaster spring steering stabilzer was simple on my 2004 newmar workhorse. Haven't test driven yet but will let you know when i do. Thanks im looking forward to doing more business with etrailer. You just can't beat their prices or service.

Just installed the reflex steering stabilizer. It is a heavy product. Took motorhome for test drive. It pulled to the right even though I thought I had the steering centered. Just need to make a minor adjustment. It was shipped very quickly.

The Roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer does improve handling of our motorhome, it is not going to all of a sudden make your rig ride like a car. There are many additional options that can and must be implemented if you want the best comfort level when driving your motorhome down the highway. Overall, we are happy but realize this is just a single step in our mission to keep us safely going down the road.

by:

Steering stabilizer was as described and works like its supposed to. I'm satisfied with the product.

Have been on a few long trips, steering stabilizer works great. I flat tow a Jeep so I keep my speed around 60 mph and as everybody knows 18 wheelers dont, so it really helps when they pass.

by:

It helps, but if I had to do it over I would install the front Sway kit, and the rear sway kit, from etrailer but I would use the safe-T starring damper....just my option but I installed both front and rear sway kit, and it made my motor Home a pleasure to drive.......the steering Damper was very easy to install......

Installed davis trac bar, but still had some issues on rough roads, high winds and passing big rigs. After installing Roadmaster reflux stabilizer these problems were solved. No more of these issues! Always tries to bring your steering back to center!

GREAT PRODUCT!

when I decided to upgrade my w22 workhorse suspension on my 36 ft Coachman Santara , the concern was sway and control on the interstate surrounded by the big rigs from 50 to 70 mph, My Coachman would get to be a hand full due to cross and push winds.
I installed the front and rear roadmaster sway bars, front and rear trac bars and a reflex steering stabilizer.

it now drives ai a far more relaxed condition , should have done it year ago

From purchase to front door, it was excellent. However, you might want to wait a few days until I can get the product installed. Write me again in a few weeks after I install your product. Otherwise, so far, so good.

Thanks for the follow up and reply. I have checked with my contacts at Roadmaster and they indicated that that clamp is installed with a lock nut, so it should not be loose or get loose over time. If you would like for sense of mind you can definitely use some red Loctite like # LT37420 on the clamp hardware.

Rebecca was wonderful, helped me every step of the way.

The steering damper was easy to install and works great. My Class A RV drives and steers great, more like a car than a bus. The difference in handling is amazing.

by:

This stableizer works great, easy to install it took me longer to take the u-Bolt nuts off the axle then to install the stableizer, it makes a big differene in steering , I would recommend this product for your unit if you don't already have one.

by:

Second motorhome I have installed this product on works wonders highly improved steering

by:

Much less play in steering, makes driving less fatiguing. Good choice.

by:

Steering like driving a car instead of a 35ft Class A.

by:

Customer service was excellent, prompt shipping and delivery, good instructions, fit like it should and
Improved steering considerably. A special thanks to Jeri C in customer service.

by:

haven't gotten to use the RV much with all the covid hysteria and now gas prices. The short trips we went on this helps, especially at highway speeds, to keep everything going straight. Would recommend one

If you plan to do some towing with your 2005 Simba 36 DBD Workhorse W22 then a rear set of SumoSprings like the part # SSR-280-54-1 that you referenced would be a great choice. This will give the rear suspension more support to help prevent sagging and give you the best overall towing experience. In your last sentence you said were trying to push as much weight to the rear of the trailer as possible. You should note that's not an ideal way to load the trailer. This will most likely cause...

  • Recommendations For Reducing Sway And Body Roll In A 2004 Fleetwood Bounder 35E Workhorse W22
With your Fleetwood Bounder being a 2004, I was unable to find out if it did or did not come with factory sway bars. However, this does not mean they cannot be added if there are no factory ones, or upgraded if there are. With that said, let's get into it. As a side note, all of these are designed to fit the 35E Workhorse W22 and are American made. To start, we have the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-109. This has a 1-3/4" diameter and will be more robust than factory sway bars....

That said, I don't think this is the issue you are having. Please note, you will need to have the wheels perfectly straight prior to installation and the vehicle needs to be on the ground. For the best of both worlds I recommend going with the front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-105 and the Steering Stabilizer # RM-RBK13-RSSA.
