Will a 1157 work as well on the boat trailer?

As long as the existing light housings on your boat trailer are compatible with 1157 bulbs # A1157B, they will work just as well as a 2057 bulb.
One light that the 1157 bulb is designed as a replacement for and that will work well on a boat trailer is the Wesbar Submersible Low Profile Trailer Tail Light, Left Side # 403026 and Right Side # 403076.
