Question:
You describe removing 1/2inch airline from a fitting is this the same procedure as one would use with the 1/4inch line? Im not sure as to removal. I have leak and will be tearing down system after locating any leaks. Can the old fitting be used with new line?

To release air lines from fittings like the part # F3025-1 all you need to do is push in on the collar of the fitting while pulling the air line out and it will release. Since you are replacing leaky line you could certainly use old fittings as long as they too are working well.
I attached a picture that shows where to push to get the line to release.
