Brake Controller Installed on 2013 Chevy Avalanche-Now Vehicle Won't Start

Question:
So...I have the adapter cable 3016-P and the brake controller. I got the power junction cover off and there appears to be only one slot where the plug will fit. I put it in, attach the brake controller and the truck wont start. I assume Im doing something wrong somewhere... So heres a picture of the junction box. The plug I used is the bottom center. So...any suggestions on how I screwed up?

The brake controller wiring on a 2013 Chevy Avalanche is a bundle of 5 wires located under the dash between the brake and the emergency brake pedals. The wiring harness will have a white label wrapped around it, which should make it easier to locate. A plug in harness like the # 3016-P isn't needed on your Avalanche.
Your brake controller will wire directly to the bare ended wires in this harness, the wire colors will match up as follows:
Red/Black tow package wire connects to Black controller wire
White tow package wire to White brake controller wire
Light Blue/White tow package wire to Red brake controller wire
Dark Blue tow package wire to Blue brake controller wire
The orange wire isn't used.
I've linked you to an FAQ article that exactly describes how to install the brake controller. I hope you'll find it helpful.
