Can Master Lock 3028DAT Be Shortened

Can they be shortened to a length of 6 in?

The Master Lock # 3028DAT can indeed be shortened by sliding the hook down the bungee, knotting it at the 6 inch mark and cutting off the remainder. My Master Lock representative confirms this.
