Question:
Hi I have a dutch bike that weighs around 60 Lb. I would like to purchase a Hanging Hitch rack. I am looking at the Yakima Ridgeback2 since it has a Max capacity of 150 Lb. I am only planning to carry ONE bike, not two. The Spec says that the single Bike capacity is 40 Lb. I was wondering if this would work? If not could you recommend another Hanging rack? I like the compactness of the Hanging Rack rather than Platform. Thanks

To carry a 60 lb bike the only option is a platform bike rack. The hanging bike racks don't have the capacity per bike to carry that heavy of a bike. The reason is because the frame cradles of the racks can't carry more than 35-40 lbs.
The Thule T2 bike rack part # TH9044 is one of the nicest bike racks around and has a 60 lb per bike capacity. This is one of the few racks available for a bike as heavy as yours and it happens to be one of the nicest racks on the market. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.
