Question:
I have determined I need 10x2 1/4 brake set. Question is do I get the free back set #4423500/400 or the uni set #4445400/300. the set that came off is the uni type. What is the difference? Also do these sets contain the 4 mounting bolts/washer/nut? Are the races preinstalled and all I have to do is install the bearing and seal?

The difference between the Titan Galphorite Uni-Servo Hydraulic Trailer Brake Assembly part # T4445300, and the Titan Galphorite Free-Backing Hydraulic Trailer Brake Assembly part # T4423500, is that that part # T4423500 is a Free-Backing brake assembly. It will not apply brake pressure when the trailer is in reverse. So which brake assembly to choose is your choice on whether you want to have brakes on the trailer while in reverse, the part # T4445400, will allow you to have brakes in reverse.
No, the sets do not contain the 4 mounting bolts, part# 7-75, the nuts, part # 6-17, or the washers, part # 5-8. You will need to purchase the bolts, nuts, and washers separately, which you can find below.
You will need to check your trailer to see if the brake mounting flanges, part # 4-35, are installed, some trailers do not come with mounting flanges installed. If your trailer needs the mounting flanges installed, it is recommended to have them professionally installed as they need to be aligned correctly and welded in. If your trailer does not have flanges, the link to the ones you will need, part # 4-35 is also linked below.
The bearings, races and seals are not included with the brake assembly. Those parts are part of the inside of the hub, if you need hubs we carry those as well, I have also included a link to that page below. If you can send me the part numbers for the inner and outer bearings and seals and the hole pattern of the trailer wheels I can recommend the correct hub and drum for your trailer!
