If your 2006 Dodge Ram came with a factory installed 7-Way connector you have a couple of options. First, you could replace the 7-Way with a 4-Way using harness # 118381. It will just plug in line in place of the 7-Way. The other option is to use a 7- to 4-Way adapter, # PK12716.
If the truck did not come with any trailer connector you can add one using a hardwire installation kit, # 119178KIT.
