Can an Electric Brake Controller Stay Plugged In When Towing Surge Brake Trailer

Question:
Hi, I installed a prodigy brake controller on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe, I added it so that my pop brakes would work better. I have hydraulic surge brakes on the trailer, as I read more about this, I understand that I dont need the controller after all..... So i have it attached already, can I pull the trailer without issue with it plugged in? Or do I have to uninstall it?

You can leave the brake controller installed on your 2005 Chevy Tahoe and the surge brakes of the trailer will still operate just fine.
If you ever end up towing a trailer with electric brakes you will be prepared!
