Am I correct that this custom kit 118667 will NOT work with a 2009 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI and is only for the sedan? thanks.

Yes, you are correct that Tow Ready wiring harness # 118667 is intended for only the 4-door sedan versions of the Jetta. For a 2009 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI Tow Ready does not offer a wiring harness. However, Curt does have 4-pole wiring kit # C59236 that is a confirmed fit for the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen Wagon, including the TDI.

You can use install kit # 55151 to simplify the process. This includes the extra wire, fuse and connectors needed to complete the installation.
