If you have a 4-way connector at the back of your Four Winds, you will need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way trailer connector. For that I recommend the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to install the ETBC7.
The brake controller I recommend is the Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller that applies the brakes on the trailer in direct proportion to the braking action of your RV. I like the fact that the brakes on the trailer are applied with the same intensity as the brakes in the towing vehicle.
We also carry time-delayed brake controllers like the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller, part # 39523. You set the power output level based on your preference and/or road conditions. The controller also has a manual override if needed.
If your motorhome already has a brake controller p[ort you can use part # 3035-P. The brake controller port may or may not be there on your motorhome so you will need to verify that before ordering.
