Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Purchased a used 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport. 4 door. Could see where a previous owner had a hitch installed car fax showed the install date. Ive purchased a new hitch to install but am looking at options on wiring. The truck appears to have a towing package on it. Im going by a connector that is underneath the truck which appears the previous owner used. The issue is I am unsure about if there is a plug in option to this connector that I can use and avoid the T-connection type wiring. Ive uploaded a picture of the connector. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The picture you submitted looks like a connector for an intermediate harness for a 7-way on your 2011 Toyota Tacoma. Most likely he went to take the 7-way off of his truck and instead of just removing the connector he went further up the wiring and removed an OEM Toyota harness.
We can't get that harness, but if you go to a Toyota dealer they will be able to get you the harness. From there you could their 7-way or get ours part # 74682 that also has a 4-way built into the side of it. Be sure to clean the pins of the connector you sent a picture of as I can see some corrosion in there.
Other than that you could go with a part # 118496 to install inline with your truck's taillight wiring so that you would have a 4-way.
