Where Is the Span of the etrailer.com Coupler Lock Measured

Question:
Not sure is the 2inch span between the lock piece and the stub or does it include the lock and stub. A simple drawing would be a help on the site.

The span of the etrailer.com Coupler Lock # e98886 is measured from the lock piece to the stub.
