Troubleshooting Brake Controller Installed in a 2000 Chevy Silverado that Doesn't Show a Connection

Question:
I installed the Voyager version of the tekonash brake controller and wiring harness available through your company. My question is I have power running to the pig-tail but when I hook -up the trailer there is no indication on the brake controller showing connection to the trailer. Got any suggestions?

Most likely the problem you described is a dirty trailer connector. Almost every time we see this problem it is corrosion on the trailer connector.
However, since your tow vehicle is a 2000 Chevy Silverado there could be a couple connections under the hood of the vehicle that need to be made so that the controller will be fully functional.
