will an elite series gooseneck hitch fit the same twist lock sockets as a 18000k fifth wheel hitch ?

The Reese Elite Series Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # RP30845 that you referenced is designed to fit the Reese Elite rail kits. If the 20k hitch you are referring to is the # RP30144 or part # RP30921 then the # RP30845 would work well for you.
