I have about 45 inches from center of front cross bar to rear seam seems to short for the hyper?

Given the dimension you provided, the Thule # TH612 HyperXL would be too long by about 5 inches to allow you to fully open your rear hatch (this assumes that your front crossbar was shoved all the way forward when you measured.)
There are some options that would fit, however:
Thule Force XT Sport, part # TH6356B, with 11 cubic feet
Thule Pulse, part # TH614 with 14 cubic feet
Thule Sidekick, part # TH78GC with 8 cubic feet
