LED Light On Hopkins Pull to Test Breakaway Switch Staying Illuminated When Pin Is Installed

Question:
I just purchased a Travel Trailer, and it has the Hokins BreakAway switch. The pin is installed, and I pulled the trailer home with no problem. Brakes worked fine, but that night I noticed that the RED LED is on. Which is backwards according to everything I have read. can you help me with this?

The red LED light on the Hopkins LED Breakaway Switch # HM20060 indicates that the cable has been pulled.
My contact at Hopkins said you may have the black and blue wires reversed. This would cause the LED light to stay illuminated.
I have attached a link to a video for this breakaway switch that shows how it's wired when installing.
