Question:

I saw your video for 2007 Lexus by splitting into the wires. 2007 has four colored wires which can color match to the standard 4-wire connector. Strangely, 2009 has only three wires, not the white ground wire. I am not getting power to the trailer. How should I connect?

Expert Reply:

Since the tow package connector on your RX350 doesn't have a white ground wire, you'd install the # 18002 4-pole connector as follows:

You'll cut off the existing plug on the tow package harness on the vehicle.

Green tow package wire connects to green 4-pole wire
Yellow tow package wire connects to yellow 4-pole wire
Brown tow package wire connects to brown 4-pole wire
White 4 pole wire could connect to the frame of the vehicle, using a ring terminal like # DW05736-1 and a self tapping screw like # 101131802.

In other words, except for the ground wire connection, the install would be the same as what's shown in the video you referenced (see link).
