What if anything is the difference other than the included draw bar between the hidden hitch 60823 and the draw-tite 24710? In the included pics they look nearly identical. Looking to do some minor light duty towing with my aged 300k+ mile 2002 wrx sedan.

The two hitches you had mentioned are basically identical, however both have also been discontinued by the manufacturer, so for you 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX you'll need to go with the Curt # C11497.
To finish off your towing setup you'll also need the appropriate ball mount, # 3593. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258.
And for trailer wiring you can use # C59496 to add a 4-Way flat connector at the back of your 2002 Subaru Impreza. I have linked the written instructions for the hitch if you'd like to take a look.
