Is the Titan Weight Distribution Shank Compatible with a Standard Reese Weight Distribution Head

Will the 2 1/2 inch Titan shank 54977 be compatible with my standard WD Reese hitch head? I have a standard 2inch shank, but Im looking for a sturdier shank with more adjustment.

Yes, the Titan Weight Distribution Shank 8-1/4 inch Rise or 5-3/4 inch Drop, item # RP54977, will work with the hole spacing on Reese weight distribution heads. The standard hole spacing is 1-1/4 inches on center.
One thing to keep in mind is that this shank has a hollow recess where the weight distribution head bolts through and is not compatible with weight distribution heads that utilize a bolt or rivet and washers to set the head angle, like many round bar weight distribution systems. An example of this is the Pro Series Weight Distribution System, # PS49583.
If you have a standard 2 inch shank in a 2 inch receiver hitch then the Titan Weight Distribution Shank will not fit in the hitch. A 2-1/2 inch Titan hitch is required for this shank to fit in the receiver.
