Question:
The lights work well but when Im not braking the flashers are faint. Is this normal?

LED lights can be partially illuminated by a very small amount of current. What it sounds like is happening is that the trailer wiring circuits of your tow vehicle have a tiny bit of current running through them when the circuits aren't being used and that is why the lights are dimly lit.
What you described is a somewhat common occurrence that you wouldn't have to worry about. Your trailer and wiring would not be adversely affected.
