Both Curt wiring harness # C56217 and TowReady # 118449 are fits for the 2015 Toyota Highlander without the factory tow package. They differ in their maximum current output capability.
The Curt harness has a maximum output of 3-amps per stop/turn circuit and 6-amps for the taillights. TowReady harness # 118449 has a maximum output of 2.1-amps per stop/turn circuit and 5.6-amps for the taillight circuit. Generally its best to have more capacity to help ensure you do not overload the harness.
